Random Summer Fun

Couldn't wrap up summer without including this awesome picture of Corey...haha.  We did have a couple trips to the cabin over the 4th and 24th of July.  The crazy coincidence was that we saw fires from Rockport Reservoir both trips!  Pretty wild.  On the fourth they closed the road and we had to get back to the cabin through Park City.  On the 24th we were actually evacuated off the lake..pretty exciting stuff.

We did get in some good fun on both days in spite of the excitement.

Mac's after picture on his first weeklong boy scout camp....we won't mention how he smelled.

The kids felt a little left out with Mac camping all weekend so we did some backyard camping activities.

Our trip to the new discovery museum at Thanksgiving Point had the kids going crazy taking pictures of things they could research for the trading post there.

Lastly, I couldn't help but post a picture of these two handsome boys.  Mac's best friend Brad (shown below) is about a year younger than him so they were super excited when Brad turned twelve so that they could go to the temple together to do baptisms for the dead.

Lots of random, lots of fun.

Happy July Birthdays!!

In our family the kids are either an April birthday or July birthday.  It's fun, but makes for a pretty crazy fun month.  Thankfully Keaton, Avery & Brecken wanted the same theme birthday which helps with the planning.  We did do separate birthdays given the age gap.  In spite of doing separate parties, I combined the pictures from both just to simplify.  Keaton had a mostly cousin and a few friends party and the twins had a mostly friend with a couple cousins party.  They all wanted a water party which is perfect in July.

Notice the bandage on Keaton's finger.  He is my best helper and accidently cut his finger open setting up the slip-n-slide.  He's also sweet enough not to interrupt the party by telling me about it until the party was almost over....ya, that was five stitches.
Our friend Sunny let us borrow this awesome lumber wrapper she had.  It made for bigger fun!!
Happy 5th Birthday Brecken & Avery!  I can't believe you're five and we love you so much!!
Keaton, I'm so proud of the great kid you are.  I love your passion, energy and excitement for life.  Love love love you all!!

Pheiferhorn

Corey's Dad has started a fun tradition of summer hikes and this year was pretty impressive!!  These are their pictures from Pheiferhorn.  Kari went on this one and got me these great pictures, thanks Kar!  Other than that, all I know is that they come back dirty, tired, sore and happy.
